Our Kids Network (OKN) is a Halton-wide partnership of organizations and agencies serving children and youth. Guided by research, OKN provides leadership and a platform for planning and aligning services and supports so all children and youth thrive.
Together with our partners, we collaborate to achieve a more diverse, inclusive and equitable community that promotes and advances child and youth well-being. The information resulting from our research findings is used to create resources, tools and knowledge that support network members providing services for children, youth and families.
Organizations benefit from OKN’s data by creating services that meet community needs, evaluating and expanding programs, planning benchmarks and setting goals and supporting funding applications. Their work helps organizations identify strengths and needs in our youth population, build awareness of the needs of youth and families in Halton and mobilize community action to help young people get the best possible start in life.
The leaders who form the foundation of the Network are:
- The Halton Children’s Aid Society
- The Regional Municipality of Halton
- Halton District School Board
- Halton Catholic District School Board
- Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK)
- HMC Connections (Halton Multicultural Council)
- ErinoakKids, Centre for Treatment and Development
The Halton Children’s Aid Society (Halton CAS) is proud to be a partner in Our Kids Network.
