Thank You

for considering children, youth and families in need this holiday season

Seasonal Program 2012

Thank you for considering children, youth and families in need this holiday season. At the Halton Children’s Aid Society, we assist children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect or family trauma. Often their families have limited resources or are challenged in other ways. This leaves them unable to provide gifts, food or other basic needs for their children and youth over the winter and holiday season.

With the assistance of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton, our goal is to enhance the quality of the holiday season by providing the necessities and gifts to the children, youth and families we serve in the Halton community.

Listed below (in order of greatest need) are a number of ways you may choose to provide support. Please review the list and let our Foundation know your preference. Please know, whatever method of support you choose, it is greatly appreciated!

Financial Donations Made to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton

Funds received during the holidays are used to provide children and youth in the care of the Halton CAS with traditional celebrations that include gift exchanges. We also ensure families in the Halton community have the basic necessities for the season such as food and winter clothing. Financial donations received year round also provide life-changing educational and recreational opportunities for all children and youth in care.

Gift Cards for Teens

Music and electronic stores, clothing stores, restaurants and movie passes are all welcomed. Over 72% of the children and youth in the care of the Halton CAS are over the age of 13.

Gift Cards for Grocery and Big Box Stores

Families are provided with gift cards to purchase the necessities and gifts for the holidays.

New Winter Clothing

Coats, hats, mittens, gloves and boots (all ages).

New Toys

Unwrapped (all ages).

Sponsor a Family

This program ensures those families not receiving assistance from other community resources are able to celebrate the season.

There are a number of ways you can make assisting families during the Holiday Season a fun and rewarding experience for your friends, neighbours, co-workers and family.
